There was a certain Chinese restaurant that the health inspectors went into and found tons of dead hanging cats
in their walk in freezer.
No doubt about this, I know this for a fact. The workers claimed that they did not serve them to customers,
but ate them themselves. Happened @ 12 years ago.

I went to a place all the time and recently they got shut down for thawing shrimp in a mop bucket. I like american owned chinese restaurants though. They seem to just have a different standard of cleanliness.

Pei Wei is ok. I can take Asian food in doses. Then I am back to the BBQ and home cookin' kinds of foods. Sometimes I will go down into the Asian district and buy these pork sandwiches from this old Asian lady. She's been there forever and has all her health and culinary credentials posted and current.

There is a little hole in the wall sushi place in downtown nashville I used to hit up. Guy was like the soup nazi but it was cheap and good. As for chinese them buffet are always sick.

I always check those places out. If they have a good track record, and up to code, I'll try it. Otherwise I am really apprehensive. I agree. Many of those buffets are playing Russian Roulette with our intestinal track.

It's probably a step up from Rat, Rabbit, etc. I had a friend that went to mainland China a few years ago said the open air markets had all kinds of animals hanging from wires, rats, rabbit, chicken but it was hard to tell what was what because they were all covered in a thick layer of flies.
